Copyright: Brian Smith, BTS Internet Services The rock face towers above the banana plantations behind El Remo, some are covered in plastic 'greenhouses' others are open. In the center there is a row of conrete water tanks to hold water for the plantations.
The two darker vertical streaks on the rockface are the remnants of earlier lavaflows which eminated high in the Cumbre and flowed down to the sea at El Remo.
